Prof. George Panos (44 years old, Male) is Professor of International Finance at the School of Economics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has held previous positions the Universities of Glasgow, Stirling and Essex. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Aberdeen (2010), an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick (2004) and a BA in Economics, with distinction, from the University of Ioannina (2002). He has held key administrative roles at all three universities at which he has worked, including the role of director of postgraduate programmes. He has worked as a consultant to the World Bank for a total of seven years, on finance and private sector development, entrepreneurship, and poverty alleviation. In April 2020, he was named as one of the top 40 MBA professors under 40 worldwide by the US-based Poets & Quants, which ranks graduate programs in Business Administration globally.

Prof. Nikolaos Monokrousos (48, male) is an Associate Professor of Soil Ecology at the University Center of International Programmes of Studies, International Hellenic University. Before joining IHU, he was a researcher at the Institute of Soil and Water Resources, Hellenic Agricultural Organization – Demeter. He currently directs two postgraduate programs in Bioeconomy and Sustainable Agriculture. With over 20 years of experience in Soil Ecology, his research focuses on soil microbial community structure, enzyme activity, and their roles in organic matter decomposition and nutrient cycling. He also studies soil free-living nematode communities to explore interactions within the soil food web. He has published 70 research papers in international journals and participated in numerous national and international projects, including PRIMA, Horizon, LIFE, and THALIS.

Dr. Ioannis Anastopoulos is Assistant Professor at the Department of Agriculture, University of Ioannina, Arta, Greece. He has worked in postdoctoral research at the Agricultural Research Institute (Cyprus), the University of Patras (Greece), the University of Cyprus (Cyprus), and Hellenic Mediterranean University (Greece). His research is focused on the estimation of greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural soils after receiving organic and inorganic materials, the fabrication of different adsorbents for wastewater treatment, and the use of organic amendments for soil remediation. He is author of publications in peer-reviewed journals (>126 articles) with more than 9000 citations and he served as a reviewer by invitation for more than 40 scientific journals. Ioannis Anastopoulos
Dr. Mattias Gaglio (40 years old, Male) is a Researcher in Ecology at the Dpt. of Environmental and Prevention Sciences of the University of Ferrara. He obtained the PhD in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology at the joint course of the Universities of Ferrara and Parma, receiving the "Nicolò Copernico" Recognition for innovative PhD theses in Science and Technology. He has carried out study and research activities at the Department of Ecology and Parasitology of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Danube Delta National Research Institute (DDNRI), and held a research fellowship at the IUAV University of Venice. He authored several publications in international journals, served as Guest Editor of Special Issues and was member of the working group in various national and international projects. He is also scientific consultant for the Science Museum of Trento (MUSE) and Academic Editor for the journal PLOS ONE.

Mattias Gaglio
Professor Mohsen Yousry, at present is the director of the Central Laboratory for Environmental Quality Monitoring (CLEQM) since 2019. From 2014 till 2019 he occupied the position of secretary general in the Nile Research Institute (NRI). He received a Diploma in irrigation from Bari Institute – Italy in 1998 and his M.Sc. in Chemistry from Zagzig University in 2001 and a Ph.D. in 2006 in Chemistry from Zagzig University. His career progression started since 1995 as chemist in quality and pollution monitoring department – NRI. He gained a wide experience for more than 25 years in the field of water quality and pollution control. He gave lectures in the international post-graduate training courses in environment hydrology for arid and semi-arid regions and has published a number of papers on the field of water and sediment quality in reputable national and international journals. He participated in several local, regional and international projects related to water quality.

Prof. Yosri Atta is an Emirate Professor. He holds a Ph.D. (1997), M.Sc. (1991), and B.Sc. (1982) in Agronomy from Zagazig University. His expertise includes developing innovative rice, maize, and wheat cultivation methods, calculating crop water requirements, and analyzing irrigation efficiencies. He also focuses on evapotranspiration, soil chemistry, pest control, and saline water irrigation techniques. Atta has received several prestigious awards, including the ICID Innovative Water Management Awards in 2008 and 2014 for his groundbreaking work in irrigation methods. He has also contributed to local and international projects promoting sustainable water management and efficient irrigation practices, and he has been recognized for his contributions to research and education in agriculture.

Yosri Atta
Dr. Athanasios Ragkos is an Agricultural Economist currently employed as a Researcher at the Agricultural Economics Research Institute of the Greek Agricultural Organization - DIMITRA. He obtained his Ph.D. Diploma in 2008 from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since then, he has taught several courses in Greek Universities. He has participated in more than 35 research projects (five of which as Coordinator) and has published more than 90 papers in peer-reviewed journals and Conference Proceedings. His research fields include the economics of agricultural and livestock production, environmental economics, the multifunctional character of agriculture and extensive farming systems, project appraisal and sustainable rural development. He is experienced in designing interdisciplinary approaches regarding the above-mentioned research fields by maintaining close collaboration with scientists of relevant fields. He works closely with the agribusiness (eg dairies and propagation material), but also with Cooperatives and Producer Groups.

Athanasios Ragkos
Evangelia Golia is Associate Professor of Soil Science at the School of Agriculture of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since 2021. She holds a Degree in Chemistry, (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,1991), a Degree in Agriculture, Department of Agriculture Crop Production and Rural Environment, (University of Thessaly, 2008). She holds a MSc in Quality Assurance, (Greek Open University, 2006) and a PhD in Soil Science, Department of Agriculture, Crop Production and Rural Environment, (University of Thessaly, 2003). She has worked as a Postdoctoral Research in the SZENT ISTVAN University, Hungary and the Department of Agriculture Crop Production and Rural Environment, University of Thessaly, Greece. She teaches the courses of Soil Science, Soil Chemistry and Soil Pollution. She has participated in a multitude of research projects funded by the European Union, as well as by public and private institutions in Greece. She has supervised three doctoral theses, more than 20 postgraduate theses and 5 postdoctoral theses.

Athanasios Koukounaras
His research interests span flow and transport in the hydrologic cycle, hydro-meteorology, geomorphology, remote sensing, hydrologic drivers of disease vectors. Rainfall, and extremes in particular, have been some of his long-term research interests. He has been the PI in several national and international projects. Most recently: “Integrated Numerical Modelling of the watershed-lagoon-sea system in Venice”, 2018-2021; “Optimal Satellite-based Estimation of Extreme Rainfall at the Global Scale”, NASA Earth Science Fellowship, Duke University, 2017-2018. He is Member of Venice Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts, (2012-today), and of the Galileian Academy of Sciences, Literature and Arts (2018-). He is a member of the American Geophysical Union and of the European Geosciences Union. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 5 chapters in edited books, about 120 abstracts presented in international conferences, and has edited 2 books.

Elia Scudiero is an Associate Research Agronomist with the Environmental Sciences Department at the University of California, Riverside with a joint appointment at the USDA ARS US Salinity Laboratory, also in Riverside. Before moving to Riverside, Elia was awarded his Ph.D. in Crop Science from the University of Padua, Italy, in 2013. Elia’s Digital Agronomy Lab uses high-resolution near-ground and remote sensing to study agricultural systems across scales. This research supports sustainable site-specific agriculture management practices in California and globally.

I am a research expert in soil and water, and also I work as director of the laboratories in the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), in Jordan. I work in multidisciplinary research lines such as irrigation water management and quality, reuse of treated wastewater for agriculture, climate change, and using bio-solid for improvement of agricultural productivity of rangeland, as well as knowledge about using remote sensing, experiment design, and statistical analyses. I conducted many training courses with different topics such as irrigation management, irrigation scheduling, irrigation system design, principles of remote sensing, and fertigation. I have a proven track record in acquiring competitive funding for the advancement of my research interests, including international projects from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) and European Union project such. I have 26 publications in local and international journal, an h-index of 8, and an i10-index of 7 in GoogleScholar with a total citation of 259.
